Jackson Creek with Fiona and Conrad
Oct 25th, 2007 by peter

What do you want to say about this slideshow? I like that picture of Bali (the dog) in the air. I just had so much fun with Bali. When we were at the river, that’s where you see Fiona sitting on the rock with her notebook.

The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me
Oct 25th, 2007 by peter

What should I know about this book? You should know that it’s a funny story. Tell me something funny that happens. The Giraffe says, “I only eat pink and purple flowers”, the Monkey says, “I only eat walnuts”, the Pelly (which is the pelican) only eats salmon. The Duke, who is very famous, has all those things. I think that’s funny.

Did anything scary happen? Yes. A robber was in the Duke’s big palace stealing jewels that belonged to a famous lady staying there. The robber had a gun. The Giraffe, and the Pelly, and the Monkey saw him. The Giraffe scooped up the robber. The robber shot his gun. The Pelly got a bullet whole in his beak; but he didn’t mind.

Who was the kindest person in the book? Billy. That’s the little boy’s name. Why? He made an old store into a new store. The store was called The Grubber. It was a great candy shop. The first day it was open, everything was free.

Grossology
Oct 24th, 2007 by peter

What was the best part of Grossology? All the parts were fun.

What part do you remember? When I put my hand in a bucket that had brains it in. I did not like the feel of it. It was sooooo yucky! I didn’t like when I had to feel the veins and the eyeballs. Those felt spppttthth!

What was the silliest part? When we made oobleck.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
Oct 24th, 2007 by peter

Why is Mr. Fox fantastic? He thinks of lots of ideas; and they work. But those sneaky farmers shot Mr. Fox’s tail off. Why did the framers shot his tail off? He steals their food. They don’t like that. But the foxes need to live, so that’s why he did it.

What is the most important part of the story? When the foxes and the moles and rabbits and the weasels and the badgers had a big feast. Why did they have a big feast? They thought it was great that Fantastic Mr. Fox had a plan to dig under ground and find the cabins and push up the floor boards and sneak inside and get some chicken, geese, ducks, and apple cider.

What was was the funniest part? When the little rat was drinking a big gallon of apple cider. The rat thought Ben’s Secret Cider Cellar was his own.

Tree House
Oct 23rd, 2007 by peter

Whose idea was it to make the tree house? It was mine, Peter’s idea – that’s me.

How did we make the tree house? We took lots of pieces of wood. We would make pilot holes and ratchet them into the tree. We would find lots and lots of boards; but they had to be pretty thick so they could hold our weight. Then we would put them across the big beams.

How is our tree house different from others? Because it has four levels. It doesn’t have a roof. It doesn’t have walls. It was Dad’s idea to make the levels; but it was my idea to make the levels.

How do you get into the tree house? First, there’s a trap door on the bottom. You open the trap door and go through the hole. The hole is not shaped like a triangle, not like a square, not like a circle, not like an oval, not a rectangle… but yes… a TRAPEZOID.

Spire
Oct 23rd, 2007 by peter

What is your favorite part of this video? When I climb up the wall going super fast. When I come down, I crash pretty hard.

What is your favorite thing to do at Spire. I like climbing up the wall, that’s the most fun.

What challenges you at Spire? Going in little tight spots. You know that one where a flip over, but get back on. That’s a tight spot. Henry is behind me. Henry is one of the instructors.
